I think a blog can fail for any number of reasons, but the main one being the owner losing interest in it. It's okay if you're writing about something that you're passionate about but it's hard to continue something if it doesn't give you something in return that you're after.

I had a personal blog years ago that was nice for a while but got to a point where it had few readers and I just didn't feel like continuing it. If it was bring in money or was popular enough that it was an important resource I may have continued, but sometimes you just get bored of it.

The fact that most of the bloggers lose interest is definitely one of the biggest reason why blogging is not for everyone. The thing here is that losing interest in blog is a natural thing if you do not gain any benefit from it. If no one is interested in viewing or reading what I post, then what is the point of posting it in the first place?

Blogs and many other types of business fail because of lack of adequate planning, mismanagement and lack of funds, if these steps are properly put in place then a business has a higher chance.

I think I also mentioned it earlier that even after planning properly many blogs fail because the owners are simply not lucky enough to gain traffic. Other factors include poor content quality and even quantity. If you do not post content regularly, your blog might fail.

Talking about traffic, why wouldn't traffic be in the planning for a website for that matter, that should be the basis of planning, to know how to generate traffic but the other ones are good points.

A lot of people do fail in their blogging career because they consider the money aspect way too early not knowing you have to build quality over time first.

Apart from a lack of traffic, a good blog might also fail if the blog owner do not upload good content. This might have happened to a lot of blogs and this is one of the main reasons why blogs might fail. Blog owners also need to focus on content quality.

One of the reasons why bloggers fail is that they're not producing engaging, outstanding quality content. With so much content being produced, great content is the minimum bet for getting in the game. ... As a result, you can provide your audience with information that they wouldn't be able to access on any other blog.

Blogging requires dedication towards creating new contents. You can not simply start blogging from day one. Day by day, you need to improve the quality of your content. Also it is advisable to post your blogs after rigorous research so that any fact which has reference in your blog remain true and valid.

Yes you are correct blog posting involves a lot of research and making sure you have the right content which will be easily understandable. With reference on your post will make it legit and people will pay attention to your blog

There are so many reasons why people don't become successful blogging. one of the reasons is what I call lack of adequate knowledge. When you don't have knowledge of SEO and cannot make a quality content then your blog will definitely not succeed.

Like you rightly said, there are various ways blogs fails, it could be down to the underperforming capability of the blogger or could be because they got into blogging for the wrong reasons

Most business or plans that fail is as a result of poor planning that is why it is being said that proper preparations prevent poor performance that is why it is good to sometimes employ the services of an expert.

The reason why blog fails is the same reason why many businesses fail. The reason why blog may fail is lack of enough knowledge or enough resources to run the blog the way it should be run. A good blog needs good contents and updates regularly, a blog needs good innovations to stand or survive it competitors.

For a blogger to survive and keeps people coming to his or her blog thereby making the blog popular the blogger must work on the production of his content, the topic of the news must be unique and sometimes entertaining.

A major reason why blogs fail, is the inability of the admin to create contents that would entertain the people and that can actually make them return. In most cases its lack of consistency. Most don't even try to continue posting

I'm guessing that why an admin would not post in his own site is because of demotivation which makes him not see the need for posting since he is not happy with it.

A blog needs time and effort to be a worthy one. The blog owner should have creativity while writing. Articles he posts should be informative and also not dull. It should sound interesting so that viewers feel its worthy to read the whole article.

Creativity would lead to a having a good content on a website which is a really good feature for a blog site that wishes to grow and have a customer base that would work.

I agree with you. Apart from writing good articles, a blog owner must also focus a lot on SEO aspect of the blogging. A blog owner must continuously market his blog in the online world. He must also make his blog look professioanlly designed. These are some of the main factors that are responsible for success of any blog.
