Why do banks still issue cheque books?

Its traditional but still a very good, safe and formal way to pay and this is why most companies and businesses prefer this system to pay

I can't say about other countries but in my home country, digital transaction costs money, where as check book transactions are free.

Digital transactions also cost some money here but it is not very expensive. I don't know about yours

I don't see any extra charge at present on our digital transactions but some of the apps have started to charge convenience fee
