Why are people running from making a living out of farming?

The work load invovled is enough to scare a lazy man but thats not the hard part. The hard part is that one single mistake you make can send all your investment down the drain. I know a fried that lost all his hens just because he didnt use enough heat on them.

Farming business is a good business but it requires a lot of financial support. Small money could also be budgeted on farming if it's a small scale kind of farming. People run away from farming because the results take a lot of time.

People have come to realize the importance of making a living out of agriculture , the former thought that their are limitations that can stop you from making a living is gradually fading away but there are still very important issues that would still make people run from making a living

One reason I think would be people see farming as the job for the poor which is wrong. You don’t have to be poor to be a farmer. Also the way the country is everyone like copy each other, you hardly find people who do things because they want to do them instead you people going into a business because someone close to them did the business and made money, very sad

The reason people are running away from farming as a source of living is that most of us believe farming is meant for the less privilege (poor people), but they don't know youth nowadays are into big time farming, my brother is a living witness, he has B.sc in mathematics but no job, now he can boost of 25hectares of farm with cocoa and bannana plantation, the guy is in money now.

Well, I would say that farming is capital intensive, land must be acquired to start up, labour must be on ground to help cultivate and secure the farm produce. The people's knowledge about farming too is not vast, so there is a fear to go into it because of the lack of substantial knowledge
