Facebook, Google AdSense, and Buy SellAds all are very successful ad companies. Any of these will help your website gain exposure to the Internet public. Which do you use, or perhaps do you use something different?

Depends on what you mean - are you asking about adverts for other websites you display on yours to receive cash, or buying your own adverts for others to be attracted to your forum? In the case of the former, just a reputable company who gives the most cash :p For the latter, I tend to go down the Google AdSense route. They've arguably got the best reputation/algorithms behind the adverts, so someone is more likely to find and then click on the advert.

I have gotten some on Facebook a few times. Not really worth it for me unless I can better understand how to utilize them.

Hmm..Google AdSense is for those webmasters that sell adspot, but not buy it. AdWords, DoubleClick, AdMob after all.

I will be using google adsense because it seems the easiest with the least amount of work haha

I think this is why I originally started with them. Something like 5 years ago I had a blog on blogger.com and learned how to use it then. So easy when you have plugins for the prebuilt ads.
