When registration doesn't work and you have no idea

This happened just recently actually, the CAPTCHA was being an idiot and wouldn't let anyone through, so all those potential members lost 'cause of that.

I had no idea until just now when someone finally told me; it really sucks that no one said something sooner, ya know?

Has anything like this happened to you? Where an error prevents people from logging in or signing up, or interacting with the forum? How'd you deal with it?

Anyway, yes, this has happened to me before. It is so annoying.

Yes and it blows big time. The only way to deal with it is to fix the problem, which means finding an alternative or getting rid of the problem all together.

Things like this happen all the time. You just have to deal with it head on and explain it to your visitors and let them know you are working on it to get it fixed. We live and die by the technology we use and people are more understanding than they use to be as long as they know what is going on.
