When is the right time to hire an additional employee?

Hiring additional employees to reduce work loads on your staffs is a good idea,but it should balance both the income and the expenditures rates in other not to fall into financial difficulties.

You can hire an additional employee in the company when You think the company is expanding and the workload is too much for the present employee, or rather if you decided to open another branch, so probably there will be need for additional employee.

One need to check if their is need for that. If their is no need, i don't see why a company should seek for additional staffs.

Exactly, because it can just disrupt already laid financial plans and also improve laziness when the extra staff is not needed.

Yeah, no company plans for that. They make budget for the year, and work according to the budget unless emergency occurs. Then otherwise can take place.

You're right. When the business grows exponentially, and pumps up with enough cash. And you feel you need extra bodies to help you, execute some task, you can go on and employ workers.
 
When the task in the company or business is becoming more tough for the current staffs and the output is also increase for you to have effective running business you can employ more workers.

Due to the heavy workload makes the present employees to work over time too often. The per hour rate of overtime is expensive so the best solution to avoid overtime work is to hire an additional worker. However, when the business is not doing good financially that hiring is not affordable then there is a big problem with the management.

Yeah I agree with you I believe the business growth rate will tell you when you should had additional hard because the more your business grow need service or product oriented you will know when your demands of customers are met or not
