When Facebook refuses to give reset password option?

My sister's Facebook account was just hacked and in her effort to reset the password, Facebook doesn't give her the option to reset password. It would only give her the option to input her password. Her phone number and email address is linked to the Facebook but they won't just send her code to either of them to rest the password when she click forgotten password.

Is there any other way around this issue?

In some cases, it is not that easy to get your way around this situation. Maybe because your sister didn't use her real names when opening the account or something like that.
We have successfully retrieved the account. Facebook suspended the account from getting the option to reset the password in 24 hours was what I found out. After trying it this morning, we got the code to reset the password and right after that, I had 2FA set up on the account to prevent it from getting hacked again.

This is a good move. At least, you are rest assured that it is not something that is going to happen again as soon as possible.

I tried making a new facebook when I got a new phone back in 2019, because I started dating and women were asking me if I had a facebook. Well, I made one but Facebook banned my account within a day of me having it and I was like wth?
