What is effective online communication?

Effective communication is a type of communication which reach the targeted audience. Effective communication is very essential when you are doing product launching online products.
What about in a situation whereby 80% of the persons you where able to reach through your communication are not your target audience, but it is an audience non the less, would you still consider this as an effective communication?

Not really what they want to hear , if you're telling them what they want to hear obviously you must be telling them what might not be true about your products which can have a bad side effects on your business.

There is no way you are going to convince someone who is not interested in your offer to buy from you. No matter what you do even if you offer the product almost free, who is the owners interested they are not going to make use of it. This is the reason why to go after those who showed interest in your product.

Meaning does who show interest in your offer are your target audience right? But there are certain cases where some might promise to come back later, should you still remind such persons? And how often should you remind them?
 
It is said that it takes about 5 contact on average before a potential customer could make a buying decision. So it is very important to follow up on anyone who show interest in the product or services you are offering.
