Just got done reading an article about Facebooks new feed algorithm, and I have to say that the changes are quite nice even though every post still isn't guaranteed to get to everyone.

The main changes are:

Old posts can still be seen by visitors and go viral
Now, Facebook is “bumping” stories that you haven’t seen yet, instead of just looking at the publish time. That means Facebook users still have a chance of seeing your posts, even if they’re older. Post timing isn’t as important as it was before.

Posts being shown based on how active someone is with your page
Even more interesting that storybumping is the “last actor” concept. This way of showing posts to users runs on the theory that the people/pages you’re interacting with most (by looking at their profiles/pages, liking, commenting, browsing their photos, etc.) are the updates you want to see.

So, what do you think about these changes?

Well, although I like the fact that they are making these changes, I am still not happy that my post still does not get seen by all of my users.

Although I can see why Facebook still does not allow that. People like hundreds up to thousands of pages, if all of them where posting their news feed would be filled with spam and irrelevant things than what they are on Facebook for: Friends and family, talk to them, discuss and share etc.

Yeah, but it's hard for small sites to compete with brands that buy 1000's of likes for each of their posts. I really think social networks should penalize the big guys, and let us smaller people get noticed more. But that will never happen.
