What are the trends for typography for web designers?

There are a lot of emerging typography trends that modern Web designers are adopting. The aim is always to create a readable, engaging and aesthetically pleasing content. For example, I have observed that most Web designer now use serif fonts for digital. What are the other typography trends that you apply on your web designing?

Ha! I am literally using that font for the first time on a client site now. Clearly I need to find something less trendy...

I'm really pleased that web designers seemed to have stopped using those very light feint fonts that one could hardly see
