There are a number of forums out there that have a mascot of some sort. On ProBoards.com, it is a blue bear that shows up, when there is an issue on the host.

What about you, do you have a mascot on any of your forums? If not, have you ever thought about having one?

I have mascots for my website. Normally, the mascots are the logos that I use on the header. Having a mascot gives your site an unique identity. People will easily identify your site of you are using cool mascot.

I don't have a forum but what I do have is a blog and I don't have a mascot for my blog even though it is possible and I don't even know how to do that but now that you have talked about it I will look for a way to put a mascot on my blog to make it more attractive.

I'm just hearing this for the first time all because I don't own a forum or site at this moment, but if possible I have one I would make that available on my forum as well, since is there to serve me and my members well tho.

No, I've had no mascots. However, I realize they could be a powerful branding image. Anyway, I mostly use generic names with no mascot. However, though, the domain extension is often the unique icing on the cake, so to speak.

Having a mascot for a forum is a very good idea because people tend to do a lot better at remembering a forum if they have some sort of picture to associate with it.

Currently, i don't own a website. This is the first time i'm hearing about a mascot. I would like to have one if i eventually own a website since it shows when there is an issue with the host.
