Which do you prefer?
I like Walmart for its low prices, but I usually like the layout of Target more.

When I was younger I just knew Target had the Target symbol and sold popcorn inside. I finally tried their popcorn in recent years and I liked it.I've been to both on my trips to the US and I honestly couldn't tell them apart in any meaningful way.
I don't recall blue light specials - I recall KMart in general though!I prefer Walmart in most cases myself..
Not to get off target (sorry for the pun) but does anyone remember KMart blue light specials? It was fun to watch folks rush them.
They would set up a blue rotating (originally) light with a siren and have "special deals" on display. Sometimes they were even worth buying.I don't recall blue light specials - I recall KMart in general though!
Wow. That's interesting! I think that would be an interesting thing to watch happen then! They would set up a blue rotating (originally) light with a siren and have "special deals" on display. Sometimes they were even worth buying.
It was a gimmick that they had when I was growing up and even into adulthood.
I see you are a fan of the Evil Dead franchise.. I REALLY wish it was more widely available on streaming... campy? Yep... but ALL of the franchise was fun to watch. Bruce Campbell is an under-appreciated actor in my opinion. Then again I just remember the best advertising jingle for such a place that I ever encountered.
"The 12-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about $109.95. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart."
The last KMart around my area was in Fort Worth and that was several years ago. Do they still exist elsewhere, or did they go bankrupt or something? Not to get off target (sorry for the pun) but does anyone remember KMart blue light specials?
They went bankrupt. Last one I saw was in West Virginia in 2011. It was like a time warp situation. The last KMart around my area was in Fort Worth and that was several years ago. Do they still exist elsewhere, or did they go bankrupt or something?
Not surprising there, they were never that busy compared to Walmart and Target. They went bankrupt.
I think there are only 2 or 3 left in the nation.... pretty sure it was early 2000's that they went bankrupt. The last KMart around my area was in Fort Worth and that was several years ago. Do they still exist elsewhere, or did they go bankrupt or something?
"YOU GOT THAT!!" XDThen again I just remember the best advertising jingle for such a place that I ever encountered.
