The "Force-ignore" Button?

I personally love the "force-ignore" button when someone is harassing or stalking me, trolling and flaming me non-stop. That settles a lot of personal issues between us.

It's useful indeed to weed out the type of people you mentioned. I've never had to use it on anyone, but I understand its uses. I created a code for Jcink that will block users' posts, signatures, or avatars and it appears to be one of my more popular codes, so people definitely admire these types of features.

I like this idea honestly and feel it is useful to use it. I have never had to do so before as not many people seem to really bother me or anything these days.

I was going to start a thread about this, but saw it already made!

I was wondering if people ever used the "ignore" feature! I remember on Zetaboards it was helpful and I recommended to people if they didn't like certain people posts they may need to "ignore" them. I would think it would help allowing people to participate in the community they both want to, and not having to come across eachother's posts.

I never had to use the ignore feature on a forum before. I think it's handy for those who run into issues with certain members who won't leave you alone. I've blocked a few people on Facebook however.

I recall using it on ZNB post my retirement from that place. In fact, It was funny to see that I had essentially most of their staff set to ignore as I had found most of the people they would go on to promote too annoying to bother reading their posts. Turns out that putting people on ignore who later become staff doesn't undo the ignore settings hence how I was able to ignore staff which normally you wouldn't be able to do.
