I'm under restrictions on physical activities and I'm supposed to avoid consuming things with Vitamin E because of the blood-thinning properties until after the first week post-operation.

Sounds like hell. When will you be fully recovered?

Argh, wife's laptop is having an existential crisis relating to the screen. I've ordered replacement parts for the screen and its connector (seeing how I have the same model and spares aren't a bad thing to have around anyway) but it's still $150 I didn't want to have to be spending just right now. At least I *hope* it's that and not the motherboard failing. Guess we'll find out in a couple of days when parts get here and we do laptop surgery.

Speaking of computer problems, I remember one of the first computers I had gotten the black screen of death. I was on the line for who knows how long trying to fix it up with technical support. I believe the person who was trying to help me fix it too had a strong accent that was hard to understand. I don't remember if it was ever actually fixed or not.
