It's been a crazy couple of days...

I think I'm buying a house this week...!

Yeah-ish! It's basically already done, but we are walking through to check for anything wrong. I've noticed two things already, and a few things they need to clean up. Then they have to add the landscaping at the end.

Aha, on the picture it seemed like something my friends did. They bought a house mid-building and they could choose what kitchen, bathroom, floors etc.

Yeah we are at stage 9 out of 10. xD So didn't get any choices, but it's basically what I mostly would have picked. The color of the countertops is my only questionable choice - but eh - I can deal with it. I have plans.

Counter tops are manageable or if it's really that hideous there's other solutions.

They are just like a light quartz/marble color. I'm not used to that xD

I have plans to cover the counters with cute things and stuff though so it should help lol.

It's personal preference but I wouldn't mind having a marble color. Depends on the kitchen though. I have plain dark ones.

My cabinets are a darker grey, so I think it could look good together! I just gotta get stuff to contrast with the lightness of the marble! My current house has a darker color on them, but it's not an actual rock countertop. I think it must be a material over the wood - but not sure since I'm just renting lol.

Oh so now you'll have actual marble? I have wood covered with a dark colored material. 😅

I can tell it's stone of some sort. Husband thinks it's quartz. I know I probably have the information somewhere what it actually is lol.

That's alright though! All my previous homes have been that way!

My mum's house has the stone as well, but it's dark brown/red kinda. I love it. I'm happy with what I've got. I'd be scared to have the quartz or marble. In case I drop stuff on it and break off some corners lol.

But being a home owner is nice. I wish I could start decorating all over again. Have fun with that!

Oh yay - time to be nervous xD we'll just see how it goes! Dark brown/red sounds really awesome! I usually go after darker colors!

I'm excited for the decorating side of it, but I know I definitely can't afford to do it all at once... maybe an item a week... or 4 items a month/ish will help me xD

You don't have to do it all at once, but it is fun to get creative. I want to start over. Different colors on the walls. 😅

I have 3 walls of light brown, darker than beige. And 1 wall with a special design. It's anthracite with a lighter grey curly design. I'd love to go lighter. Because I only get light from 2 sides, it gets quite dark. So having lighter walls will help brighten up the place. But it's a lot of work and I'm too lazy. Also paint ain't cheap.

I have mostly always had white rooms. When I lived at my dads house I had.... *shutter* pink room! D: Awful. I had a contrasting wall at my first apartment and I absolutely loved the color! Dark green is nice!

I like finding paintings at antique shops and stuff! I'll probably never put those up though lol.
