I think the sun just hates us. It's good to know everyone had a warmer summer than usual, but, I still hate that we had a TERRIBLE summer.

I just wonder if it's going to continue getting hotter by the year or every couple of years. This year was bad enough already, I hope it doesn't get worse.

My mom really wants to move to West Virginia up there with my sister, but we just lack the funds to do so.

It's at least cheaper to live there, but that also means jobs pay less as well. I was looking at houses up there and some are decently priced. If your parents can sell the house for a decent price here, you probably could get a decent home up there!

That's good that the heat is starting to die down and we're starting to see some rain. We need it. Though, I heard it's going to be a really cold winter. Go figure, super hot summer and super cold winter in Texas.

I wonder about the UK. Looks like a super hot start to the autumn and been a super hot summer. I hope Winter will be mild !

Today we pay tribute to those who we lost on 9/11. We, as Americans, will never forget.

This is also my 1,000th post on AJ.

I taught about 9/11 on Friday. It’s amazing that some kids no longer know anything about it. We have just gotten so ahead of it now that some have no clue.

I get to go to a training this morning instead of school. I’m kinda really excited for a later start in my day though!

What sort of useful info do you gain on training ? They update you on curriculum changes and regulation updates i imagine?

it’s called rigor and relevance. So probably giving us more tools and making sure to still push the students and etc.

Perhaps. Probably stuff about writing. I have no pre-warning other than the title of the training lol.

Possibly, but it will be one of the biggest chores of our lives to move all of our junk halfway across the country. We have so much stuff in our household.

How hot did it get in the UK?

Just over 30 celsius, so not as high as one or two days last summer where it got to 40 celsius, but the fact is that this dry, hot spell lasted some time and that’s unusual.
