Oh of course! I was in another position prior that took up more time, I'm switching over to something less time consuming hopefully. Excited for the new challenge of learning the new content though.

They do. 6th grade in my area teaches World Culture. So we go over a bit of geography and other portions of culture. 5th grade does America History, 7th does Texas history, and 8th probably does world history. Then high school has specifically geography, economics and more of the history.

Nice.. you know I've always been weak in History and Civics 😅😅 My favorite was Economics during my school time till 10th standard. After that I chose the Science stream so there was no Social Studies there onwards.

That's awesome though! History was always my thing as well. It was what I wanted to teach originally, but ended up in Reading/Writing (ELA) for students who struggle with reading and have disabilities. It was rewarding, but definitely was a lot of work.

Yeah I get it. But it's some good contribution to the society. Not everyone would step up and do it if they get an option.

Yeah I get it. But it's some good contribution to the society. Not everyone would step up and do it if they get an option.

I used to primarily. Now I have mixed classes - we classify them as general education classes. I have advanced/regular/sped all in one class. I’m no longer a special education teacher.

Teacher. I can’t imagine doing anything else.

I have a lot of work orders pending for my second job these upcoming three weeks. I hope I have the time to accomplish them all with my other job. There are two I haven't accepted yet due to seeing if I have the time to do them closer to the time they are due. It'll be nice to rake in some money from both jobs.

Feeling very overwhelmed and blessed today. As I'm away for my birthday, I spent today with family and was given my gifts etc, which I am so thankful for. One thing in particular I was given was made by my sister which was like a scrapbook of photos throughout the years and it had lovely messages from my family and so many of my friends, I truly appreciate the great lengths that she went to putting it together.
