Silence is golden?

Do you listen to music in the background while you're working on your site? Or do you need complete silence in order to work?

I usually listen to music while working on/ browsing through forums. It puts me into the right zone. I listen to playlists labeled 'chill work music'.

IN the past, I liked the music in the background. These days I prefer to work in a complete silence.

I like listening when I'm posting, but if I am working on fixing something or trying to write a detailed topic/article I think I would prefer silence.

I always listen to music while working on my sites or posting on forums. My spouse also watches tv when I'm on the computer, so if I'm not listening to music I'm listening to whatever video or show they're watching so it's never quiet but I work better this way.

I always find that I need music whenever I work. I like to have my personally created playlists playing in the background as background music whilst I am working as I feel that helps keep me motivated and also helps my mood as well.

It's very rare that I will end up working without any kind of music playing.

I'm currently listening to some Harry Potter themed classical music as I type this. I can usually listen to that because there are no words to it.....it's just music by itself.

I always find Harry Potter themed classical music to be relaxing, perfect for just being able to relax and work or focus on what you need to do

There's usually some type of background noise in my house when I'm working on my forum, but it doesn't bother me much. I would rather not listen to music or multi-task and watch TV while working on my forum. The quieter it is, the better I can focus on the task at hand, I think.

It depends. When I was younger I would have music on repeat whenever I was on a computer. These days I sometimes work with music, but I can get a bit frustrated with it. Therefore I mostly work in silence, or with other background sounds like the TV is sport on the radio.
