Should you try to list your forum currency in an exchange?

You need to do a lot of steps before being listed in ICO:
- Have a great community of users: This doesn't work unfortenally for forums under 1000 users
- Start ICO of forums and have good participations
- After first succesful ICO list of DEX or CEX IO
- The other exchangers will come one day
This is 5 years projects not one month project as per personal experience.

If you do so it will help you grow your forum, if forum sites add their coins on exchanges they can change to big crypto one day and beside that many people would join the forum too.

Adding your forum currency could be a tricky thing and many exchanges might not even allow it, as their process and criteria of accepting a currency is quite different.

The currency need to have high volume trading. If @AlexanderM adds Biznotes in the cryptocurrency market no one wants to use it to Buy and Sell and wants litecoin as it seems hard like a simple example.

Apart from that, the exchange would also need to have a high reserve of the forum currencies. This could also mean that the exchange would also need to buy currency reserve from the forum owner as well. Many currency exchanges usually have a huge amount of money in their reserves.

i never really thought about this aspect which is very true, you would need to have huge reserve of the currency before any exchanger would accept you into there platform or exchange.

There is a lot of forums that have their own currency and what this is generally used for is thing like upgrades on the forum or perhaps even the ability to cash out from the forum as well through the admin and their payment facilities. However do you think that it can be a good idea to convert your forum currency into a cryptocurrency and try to list it on an exchange? Would that help in forum engagement as well?
If you have a webpage, such as this forum, you may set up an alternative to this to allow users to trade products and start trading stuff in order to maintain a vibrant economy.

There are a lot of dead coins, therefore if you can help your forum users with their earnings as well as the dead coins, I think it can be excellent.
However, you must also watch the coin carefully.

this day's crypto currency is really scary, especially what happened to sam bankman, that lost his 32 billion dollars company in a twinkle of an eye, justlike the movies, from hero to villian

It will be a great idea but you need to understand that having a cryptocurrency is not an easy task. You have to know the right investors In order to make the cryptocurrency successful.

Well, if you want to monetize your forum, and you have a lot of people participating in it, then definitely yes. If you want an easy way to make money, then yes. Getting listed on an exchange is not just a good idea; it's a great one!

There are several reasons why this is true:
  • You're going to attract more users by making it easier for them to spend their time and energy on your forum instead of other forums that don't have the same options for spending their time and energy (i.e., buying things with their forum currency).
  • This will also help you retain existing users—and if they're earning points or tokens or whatever else they use instead of cash, they'll be more likely to stick around longer because they know they can use those points and tokens when they want something specific from other members or even from the site itself (like premium features).
  • Getting listed on an exchange will allow you to start offering actual products/services that can be purchased using your forum currency instead of just being able to buy virtual items like clothing or pets or whatever else might

you would definitely attract more users i agree with you on this one, as more people would see that your platform is very legitimate and can be trusted on the long run as well.

There is no risk in trying this, but you must to do your homework on the exchange and its regulations. It is customary to make sure that many people are eager to exchange your currency.

Yes, i think converting your forum currency into a cryptocurrency and listing it on an exchange definitely helps in forym engagement especially if one has a lot of members on one's forum.

My forums do not have any forum currency. However, I am thinking to add forum currency so that I can reward members for their activities. Currently, I am searching for appropriate free addons for forum currency.

A lot of assets like Pi Network have reached 89 $ but not listed on Binance exchange, this means you can have your currency increased but it will be hard to be listed on exchanges, at least Binance or Probit one a lot of conditions to fullfil.
