One reason to get reseller doesn't involve making money. It's simply the fact that the speed I think is faster than regular hosting yet cheaper than a VPS. Has anyone else thought this?

Reseller hosting is more affordable if you have a large database. If that is not the case, then regular hosting is more than enough. Usually reseller hosting is like having your own hosting company and you will be purchasing a lot of resources at once.

Unless you plan to sell the resources sometime in the future, it is not recommended. I do agree that it's a good option when compared to VPS and dedicated hosting.

I pay just about $5 per month for hosting. My host also offers reseller hosting. If I buy reseller hosting, I can get 25 hosting accounts just by paying additional few bucks. By doing this I will not only host my websites but also make money by selling hosting. However, selling hosting involves spending money on marketing.

I am not ready for reseller hosting yet. I am with regular hosting. Since I do not have any experience I do not know how it performs compared to another hosting. As far as I know, reseller hosting is you buy hosting in bulk and sell the hosting services to other people. based on the package you bought you get 20-25 hosting accounts. If you have a lot of websites you can use reseller hosting and also sell the surplus accounts to make extra money.

Yeah, a host provider had offered our office a reseller hosting for a bigger amount but we can earn if we can get clients for our hosting service. However, it is not easy to sell hosting service unless you are in the industry. Our organization is not for making profits because it is a non-profit organization. But personally I used to have that plan with another guy but it did not materialize due to lack of time for both of us.

Yes, it is not easy to sell hosting services, you will have to build your brand and set up a hosting website. I have 15 websites but I am not using reseller hosting because reseller hosting involves a lot of technical work as well as marketing skills.

Reseller hosting is a form of web hosting wherein the account owner has the ability to use his or her allotted hard drive space and bandwidth to host websites on behalf of third parties. The reseller purchases the host's services wholesale and then sells them to customers, possibly for a profit.

Shared Hosting Accounts are meant for one owner and come with one cPanel. You can host unlimited domains on a shared plan by adding domains to the “Addon Domains” section of cPanel. ... Reseller Hosting Accounts are meant for one owner who wishes to resell hosting and essentially act as their own hosting company.

I don't understand what the OP means by regular hosting, however, reseller hosting is a shared hosting that you can buy in bulk from the hosting and then resell to the individuals. You can make money in the mean time

It is always good to have regular web hosting for you site as you have full control. In reseller hosting, you use someone else hosting for less price where you might have limited access to few things.

Does anyone realize, there is money to be made with reseller hosting. You by hosting services in bulk, sell those hosting services to individuals with additional cost. You will cover your cost just by selling a couple of hosting accounts.

I completely agree with you that reseller hosting is quite better than regular posting or VPN kind of hosting service. I for one would consider this reseller hosting service because I have come to realise that it is cheaper than regular domain hosting.
