I keep on telling my friends that this thing called business does not have a known formula that will work for everyone as human beings are different so there's no way that there will be some principles that will work for everybody all the time when it comes to business.

Exactly, most cases what would work for you might not work for me, probably because we have different target audience, so I should not expect the method you used for your targeted audience to work on mine, because they are different set of people

Well, perhaps this had been said indicatively, for the reason that, if you have your regular job, you would have even less time to dedicate yourself to your personal business.
However, I would never leave a permanent job!
