I hope this is in the correct place. I'm kinda rebranding my site from having a military feel to something that you might see in a high school (because many anime characters are high schoolers), so I'm trying to think of some nifty names that would generate a hierarchy of levels, without using the typical Freshman, Sophomore, etc. I've got ten or so levels to come up with. Does anybody have some ideas, or maybe know of some web resources? I've tried Chat GPT, but that didn't work out too well.

Here's what Bing suggested, lol....

Forum rank names based on Japanese anime are a creative way to show your love for your favorite shows and characters. Here are some possible ideas for forum rank names, but you can also come up with your own based on your preferences:

  • Otaku: This is a common term for anime fans, especially those who are very passionate and knowledgeable about the medium. It can also imply a degree of obsession or social isolation, depending on the context. This rank name could be suitable for beginners or casual users who enjoy anime as a hobby.
  • Sensei: This is a respectful term for teachers, mentors, or experts in a certain field. It can also be used to address someone who is older or more experienced than you. This rank name could be suitable for moderators, administrators, or veteran users who have a lot of authority and wisdom to share.
  • Shounen/Shoujo: These are the terms for boys and girls, respectively, in Japanese. They are also the names of two popular genres of anime and manga that target young male and female audiences, respectively. Shounen anime typically feature action, adventure, comedy, and friendship, while shoujo anime typically feature romance, drama, fantasy, and slice of life. This rank name could be suitable for users who prefer one of these genres or identify with their themes and tropes.
  • Senpai/Kouhai: These are the terms for senior and junior, respectively, in Japanese. They are often used to describe the relationship between upperclassmen and lowerclassmen in school, or between mentors and protégés in work. Senpai are expected to guide and support their kouhai, while kouhai are expected to respect and follow their senpai. This rank name could be suitable for users who have a mentor-mentee relationship with another user, or who want to express their admiration or affection for someone they look up to.
  • Neko: This is the term for cat in Japanese. It is also a common motif in anime and manga, where characters may have cat ears, tails, whiskers, or other feline features. Neko characters are often cute, playful, mischievous, or loyal, depending on their personality. This rank name could be suitable for users who love cats, or who have a cat-like demeanor or appearance.

I love the ones dismal found! I’ll definitely keep thinking or may look up some other ideas though!
