Is there any difference between marketing and selling?

Marketing is the act of creating awareness or advertising what ever goods and services you have to render, whereas selling is actually the doing, exchange of those goods and services for money.

When you are marketing a product you are doing some sort of advertisement to attract people to the products you are for sale, this can be done by listing out all the function the products offer, but when you are selling a products generally you are just telling it without doing anything to attract people.

Yes there's a big difference between marketing and selling - selling is usually the endpoint of marketing and is the aim always while marketing involves all the processes that gets one to make the customer buy the product or simply put ensure the product is sold.

Marketing ultimately leads to selling. marketing is the process of raising the awareness of your branding or exposing your products so that your products might sell in the market. Sales is the result of marketing your product.

Marketing is the creation of the awareness of your product through advertising your product to people and selling is when people purchase your product in exchange do money.

There's a difference. Marketing is a display of the products while selling has to do with exchange for money. There are some products that are selling massively without marketing while some products can't reach a minimum threshold if proper marketing is not initiated.
You're correct.
Marketing precedes selling. If you do not market your products or services, you will not be able to sell them. Marketing also has to do with making your products and services known to the public. Once this is done, the tendency to get them sold is there.

Marketing is a skill of pursuing your client to buy... It is an instant whereby you are still trying to make them buy... Telling them about the company's integrity and the product integrity but selling is the final stage of marketing... The client has accepted your argument and has give in into buying your said product.
You are correct.
Marketing and selling are quite different from each other. Marketing entails letting the public know about an existing product or service, it also encompasses advertisement. Selling on the other hand is when you are exchanging goods or services with a buyer for money.

Creating awareness , is that not an advertisement ? awareness means making people to have an understanding about your product, that is just the same as advertisement and that's what a lot of business are doing, during this process they can also list the function of the product too.

You also create awarenwss about your product while marketing , sales refers to activities that lead to the selling of goods and services. While marketing is the process of getting people interested in the goods and services being sold. And that also means awareness.

To my perspective, selling refers to creating products and selling them to customers. Marketing refers to finding wants of people/customer and fill them.Selling revolves around the needs and interest of the seller.

No, I don't think there is any difference between the two. I think they are both from the same department doing almost the same thing which is getting sales for the department. Only that one they have almost different
But marketing and selling are almost the same thing but with a little difference on the aspect of the marketing part because when you are marketing you are not really collecting money but when you are selling you already collecting money.

That is true, because the act of puting up awareness and doing promotional offer about a product or services is the marketing itself, and when there is a coversion by way of sales then selling has occure.

Marketing is the act of creating awareness for your business by doing promotions like street and city advertisement telling people about your product and services while selling is the act of exchanging your goods with money.

The act of doing awareness and doing promotional offer is to expand the knowledge of people concerning the company and that's exactly what marketing entails .

I could remember i project i was part of some years back,it involved making awareness of the importance of the use of solar generated source of power as an alternative power,it was more of an awareness for solar product.

When you are not getting a product or service it means that you are trying to put it in the faces of your potential customers and subsequently trying to convince them. Selling it is when they have made the decision to buy from you and you are trying to close out.

The two are interwoven, one leads to the other. Marketing draws the attention of the goods and services of the organization to the people which after that sales takes place.

Long story short
Selling refers to creating products and selling them to customers. Marketing refers to finding wants of people/customer and fill

Marketing is always an advertising strategy. When a product is being marketef , they are trying to gets the productts exposed to many people. Selling is the act of a product being sold for profit or lost.

There is just a small difference between them because most times, you are marketting with the overall aim of selling at the same time. Marketing is you creating awareness while selling is exchanging for money.
