It depends on your site or domain developer and it depends on soley what u desire, your taste and the workmanship of the developer can determine the price you can pay for a site, and it varies from developer to developer,What advice would you give to somebody looking to create their own website? Can anyone talk me through the process and how much does it cost to create a website, from scratch? What web hosting and domain registrar could you suggest?
When you hire a professional website designer, you will end up spending a lot of money on a website. However, if you learn how to design a website and do it yourself, it does not cost much. You can try wordpress. It is free, and it is easy. A five minute video on youtube will teach how you can build website with wordpress. All you need is a domain, hosting and a theme (premium theme), which you can find for less than $100Our office hired a website designer for the creation of our website to the cost of 85,000 pesos (roughly $1,7000). The total cost reached $2,000 that included the 2 years for domain name and 1 years of hosting plus miscellaneous. The costing may vary depending on the country although now I believe the cost of design has been decreasing because of the many designers coming out in the open. Even students are good in website design nowadays.
I understand what you are saying. I actually have an experience using Dreamweaver but it was not my job to do the design of our office website. It was our boss who decides on that. Regarding the expense, yes, I have noticed that it was expensive but we do not know what's inside that package.... if you know what I mean. That cost was actually exorbitant but I cannot question that because the designer was hired by another officer in our organization. Maybe we can say it is partly politics. When you hire a professional website designer, you will end up spending a lot of money on a website. When you are working in an organization you will see things like that. The company I worked at previously also used to outsource assignments frequently even though there were employees who could have done that job. perhaps the person who handled the outsourcing used to receive a commission. maybe the exorbitant price your company paid included the commission for the guy who hired the designer. On average, though, it costs around $200 to build a website, with an ongoing cost of around $50 per month to maintain it. This estimate is higher if you hire a designer or developer – expect an upfront charge of around $6,000, with an ongoing cost of $1,000 per year. What advice would you give to somebody looking to create their own website?
