Every site at one time or another will deal with members who are a little troublesome. Whether it be a forum or a blog you can get troublesome members who will not like someone's opinion or someone's advice and will make things a little difficult on the site. Sometimes it can be difficult to find the best way to deal with these members without causing too much of a scene on the site. Some choose to speak to the individual through direct message and others choose to use another form of penlization on the site, it really depends on each owner of each site and how they want to deal with things.

Have you ever had troublesome members on your site and if so, how did you deal with it? Did you find your way of dealing with it helped to keep the issue to a minimum?

With these kinds of people you should be wise and warn them to not make problems but if they are continuing their actions they should be banned because users need to be in peaceful environment.

If after series of warning I see that you are still troublesome, I would banned you totally from the forum as I believe you are derailing the forum and causing more harm than good.

I've never had to deal with troublesome members as i don't have a website of my own. I feel the best way to deal with troublesome members is to ban them after giving them a warning or two.

A warning is going to be very important for anybody who feels that he is going to be disturbing the peace of the forum. Those who do not change can be banned and I think that is going to be justified.

banning anyone on your forum should be the last straw and should really be worth it as some offences does not require ban that i normally see some admin giving to there members.

To me, they shouldn't be any problem dealing with troublesome member. Every forum has laid down rules and regulations that all member regardless of the status must keep to. Any member who go contrary to laid down rules and regulations should be followed.

You seem to be a very strick person but as a leader there are some times you need to know why it happened and try to understand if it is not intentional or it was done out of ignorance

If the member is breaking rules., I will definitely send him a warning and if he continues to do the same, I will ban him. However, if the member is following rules and if the member is creating quality posts, it does not matter much.

I think that the first course of action is to give that person a stern warning for their actions, and if they persist, then you would have no choice than to suspend them from the platform as a consequence and a deterrent simultaneously

I understand your point. And I also believe in hearing from a person before coming up with disciplinary actions. However, rule and regulations are meant to be enforce, especially by the leader.

When it happens to be that you have trouble some members, the best thing to do is to reach them out, by texting them about the repercussion attached to that, if they didn't change, they should be banned.

I think that they should be warned and they have the right to appeal and explain what made them do what they did. The fact remains that each and every person has the right to offer an explanation.

I think the best way to deal with them is to ignore them, cause the more you answer them, they would keep troubling you. Just ignore them and try avoid them so you won't have to fall to their level just to answer them.

You can not ignore them, I feel ignoring them would even cause a more bigger problem as they would constitute nuisance on the Platform which may have a negative effect

I think they need to be warned because these kind of peaple only makes forum bad also if they won't listen they need to be banned permanently so they wouldn't couse even more problems

I get your point, but answering them would simply lead to more exchange of words, which could also put you in trouble in the platform in the long run.

There is a simple option is to ignore this person instead of troublesome except if this is from moderation team you cannot make ignore of it then just avoid reading the conversation, solutions exists.
