Those website owners who are old in the business with years of experience knows the best way to market any of their new community. They can promote the new forum on their existing community with great traffic. This is not always easy for newbies in the webmaster business.

As a newbie when you had your first forum, how did you market it? How successful was it after using the means available at your disposal?

As a newbie I didn’t know what I was doing so my first forums hardly gained any traction at all. That was over 20 years ago.

Nowadays it’s important to have an audience first. And use different forums, channels, websites to build up a hype before you open your forum.
