Who knows. It's yours, you paid for it. Computers are pretty sturdy these days so long as a flood doesn't happen or you don't throw it across the room or the cat doesn't chew up the cables on the back.

Cat hair + fans aren't a great mix long term if that's a frequent thing. I wouldn't encourage it (at least I'd take care to ensure nothing's gummed up or starting to from time to time) but it's not something that's going to kill the computer anytime soon.
