Have you ever dealt with your site being hacked?

Talking about hacked sites, I remember ponzi sites, the sites start well at the beggining and before you know it they claim the site has been hacked.

My site has never been hacked before, because i dont even have one to Begin with in the first place. Though they are not the same thing but i guess in some ways they are similar, my account has been hacked before, it was one of the painful and hardest experience honestly. I was enough to be able to get it back though

Fortunately no I have not have to deal with a website being hacked, the fact I don't have one is an important factor but have had accounts being hacked though

My site has never been hacked. I have installed a plugin called loginizer that attempts multiple login attempts by blocking the IP. I take website security very seriously.

Yes sites are being hacked day in day out because those who owns the sides failed to give accurate security for the side and this makes it easier for hackers get into one site

What a loss. Though I have not been in this shoe. But I know you have learnt a lesson to be monitoring your website at least periodically. I guess it is the handiwork of hackers.

Most hacker hack small site for bragging right and to test their hacking skill, it brings a lot of pain when one is hacked, and setting up a site from scratch is a no no for me, I pray never to experience that.

It is very good that you had a backup. This is exactly what keeps you from losing all the content that you had in that forum. Good thing that you were able to retrieve your forum back from the hacker. This is good lesson to most of the forum owners who does not have a backup.

This is one of the things that I sincerely pray that it will never happen to me. I have seen a situation whereby my friend was hit with a ransomware account and this is something that is not good.

I don't have a site yet but if a hacker should hack my site, i would look for a very good hacker to retrieve it for me once i have the money to pay the hacker.

There was a time in which a hacker got into our website because we were using a WordPress package that has already been compromised and it was not an easy experience.

Though I am still trying to create my own personal websites but for now I have heard of hackers stealing people websites and hacking it to the core, replacing every thing with his own personal information.

I think that website hacking is one of the major issues many people usually face. This is why it is always necessary to make sure you hire a professional IT expert and this is what many website owners do.

I am lucky enough to not face this problem but yes someone attempted to hack my Mybb based forum as it has security flaw and I didn't updated version but lucky that one of my team members was online saved my site.

I heard about this from people but it has never happened to my blog. An expert told me to install wordfence plugging on my website in order to prevent hacker from gaining access to the website

I have never created a website that got hacked. I created a website that had a subdomain (free domain), so I have never experienced anything like that before.

When a site gets hacked, it hurts a lot, therefore I would never recommend starting from scratch and I hope I never have to go through that. Most hackers target small sites as a form of bragging rights and to test their hacking abilities.

The only thing I experienced back then was when my Facebook account was hacked. I really don't know what to do to this day. All I could do was open another one and let go of the old hacked one. So I continued.
I'm still in the process of building a personal website, but right now I'm hearing that hackers are stealing people's websites, hacking them to the core, and replacing everything with their own personal information. increase.

Having a backup of the website is necessary in many cases as you would always need to deal with many issues such as data loss. In case your website is repeatedly hacked, you may need to change address as well.

I'm so sorry about that. That seems like a terrible experience and i wouldn't wish it on anyone. I've never dealt with my site being hacked. I've never owned a website.
