When starting up a business, it is expected not make profit for the first six months and that would have been included in the business plan, which would also make provision for the no profit situation. A working capital would also have been made available to take care of the wages for that duration.

When you start a business you can't suddenly expect to have an influx of patronage upon opening, I think the business owner should prepare and put things in place to allow the business handle high patronage when they start to come in. Start small and continue to grow from there.

Most business people attributed the low patronage to scarcity of funds in the hands of common people due to economic challenges. Business men and women in Nigeria often feel the heat of low patronage and appealed to government at all levels to assist their people especially during important periods that fall at the middle of the month by paying salaries in advance. However, despite the economic situation some customers could still afford to buy the items according to their financial capability.

A new business that has not gained more ground shouldn't expect to match up with the already running businesses. So, if there are low patronage, then you need to put in more efforts to be able to bring in more patronage.

We investigate the relationship between a household's store brand patronage and store patronage through its impact on store revenues and profits. The nature of the relationship will help answer the question: Do store brands contribute to greater store differentiation or to greater price sensitivity in the market? Our results show support for the store differentiation argument.

Low patronage is quite common in a business, this can however be corrected. You can do this by asking yourself what you are not doing right, how is your advertising or customer relationship like. You have to improve on the aforementioned areas to make good sales.

When low patronage sets into a business, there are definitely a lot of things to watch out for. Things like location of the business, colour or shape of the product, quality to mention but a few. If all things are considered and adjusted, there should definitely be a positive change in patronage.

Handling low patronage in a business can be very difficult and frustrating, but with the right attitude it can be overturned. Some important steps to take to handle low patronage, review your business performances, change your business plan, improve your market strategies, set new goals,i know when all this us achieved, you'll be on your way to success.

The Review of Industrial Organization examines all aspects of the field and presents papers that advance significant theories of industrial organization and policy. A major focus of the journal is competition and monopoly in their many forms and their affects on efficiency, innovation, and social conditions. The Review has also increased its focus on public policies such as antitrust, regulation, deregulation, public enterprise, and privatization.

Very often, despite the fact that some businesses produce, sell or provide a unique product or service, most of them are sometimes unfortunate to have a down turn or low sales turnover or patronage for their unique product or service.

Also, despite the fact that the idea behind a product/service launched into the market is too good to be turned down by the “market (prospective customers)” because it is “A UNIQUE PRODUCT”, yet, a lot of these unique products have turned out not to be patronized.

It is not strange for a new business to experience low patronage this is because customers are just meeting you and may be skeptical in buying from you. All you need to do is to remain focused and determined with what you are doing.

Low patronage is not good for business because how could somebody invest big on business and at the end of the day people did not patronise the product by doing that the business will not grow. We nerd to do the the advertising the product both on internet and electronic media. Low patronage is not good for business it can discouraged ppl from establishment business.

Concerning low patronage. Well, this is often a big problem for some newly brought up business, some even end up closing up the shops because the income and patronage is below their expectations. An individual just starting a busines should have this in mind that there might be low patronage for some months, within that month, you need to strategies and improve on how to promote your business either throug advert or reduction of prices on the products your are trading

@tyrim88 it is normal for a newly established business to struggle with low patronage at the start. This can continue for up to six month in business but with quality products, marketing strategies and dedication the business will thrive.

the best way to handle low patronage, is improving on your advertisement strategy and also improving on your customer care and also interpersonal communication skills all these will help boost the patronage of your business.

Low patronage can be a deep concern to entrepreneur but the solution is to find a better way to beat it off.
Talk of Aggressive Advertisement, it bothers the mind of prospective customers.
Everywhere they go, south, east or west, you find the advert there and resorting to go north, you still find the advert there, boldly engraving its message with the features and its uniqueness over other usual products (definitely without mentioning names of other similar products)
With this, the market (prospective customers) is left with questions in their mind and not to bother much, how to take up those advantages offered by the unique product that has been aggressively advertised is the ultimate answer that the customers’ questioned mind will provide.

I think for a business to be experiencing low patronage, it means either your products is not good or you're not advertising your products well, for you to be able to handle low patronage you have to ensure your goods and services are the best and you have to learn to make a good advert about your goods and services

When a business is new and there is low patronage, it is normal because the business is still new, a lot of people are not aware of the business yet, but if the business has stayed for a while and you still experience such, you need to do more publicity about your business.
