Halo TV Series

Has anyone here watched the Halo TV series that was originally introduced on the Paramount+ streaming service? I bought the DVD on Amazon and have yet to watch it.

Never seen it but it does have Pablo Schreiber in it from American Gods & Orange Is the New Black so it might be cool. I've never played the game

But would you have needed to play the game so you can watch the show? As they did some other shows and movies that were based on games that you didn't need to see the original source.

Probably not, as the show will give you glimpses of the gameplay just about.

I've watched it, and as someone who has played all the Halo games, it's not good.

As a sci-fi show? It's pretty decent. But if you are expecting the show to follow the Halo lore and concepts, you will be sorely disappointed.

That's odd that they didn't follow the game much, if at all. Though, I still want to see it because the Halo universe is always one I admired.

How do you follow 'the characters' and screw up the lore?? I will admit, Halo isn't exactly my favourite game (it suffers from the same problem in my mind as Mass Effect, give me the story and skip all that tedious FPS nonsense in between!) but it has a distinctive world with distinctive lore that is *interesting*.

I have only played some of the Halo games franchise. I have completed Halo Infinite not too long ago. But as for the TV series, I'm yet to watch it. But I would be interested in it.
