Go To Top Feature

I realized I haven't seen that feature on more newer/modern websites. "Go to top" button would be used if you're mid thread perhaps and you wanted to go back up to the top, perhaps to change navigation or perhaps to read the beginning thread. Do you feel like you miss that feature? Do you need that feature?

I have noticed that this feature is on some forums I used with AJ being one of them, you do need to scroll a little to see the arrow but when it appears you can hit it and it will scroll to the top.

I can't say I have seen a scroll-down feature though which I feel would be ideal if a thread is long with replies and you have already read the previous replies but want to see the newest one. I know some forums automatically put you on the last unread post but some don't and that would be ideal as well.

I usually don't use it. It's good to go to the top when there's a really long thread, but often I just scroll to the top instead.

I use a go-to-the-top button at the bottom of my forum and a go-to-the-bottom button at the top. It's convenient, for me at least, to not have to manually scroll to the important links at the top, or the board statistics at the bottom. I've always found such buttons useful.

I have it on my site, always had it for years. It's a nice touch. But I myself never use it. Used to using the scroll wheel.

Yeah, I've got it on mine. People wanted it so they got it. It's nice and handy.

I love this feature, so it feels odd when I notice that not every website has it. It makes it so much easier to scroll back to the top of a page rather than having to scroll manually.

I have not enabled this feature in my communities but I think this helps users to navigate the communities. If users can navigate easily, you will have visitor retention.

I like a button to scroll to the top or bottom of a website purely because on mobile there's no fast shortcut to do it, whereas there is on desktop with the Home and End keys on the keyboard.
