Forum you miss?

What are some forums you miss having around? What did you like so much about that forum?

Not necessarily a specific forum, but I miss a lot of the ZetaBoards forums I used to roam as I was with ZetaBoards since it was created and when it was depleted.

I agree. It was such a sad day when I saw the announcement by Brandon, former Zetaboards creator. Still can't believe how much of a sell out he's been. I can only imagine the amount has to be millions to betray your loyal user base the way he did.

I guess the only forum I really do miss that at the moment is no longer around anymore is my old forum Chat Addicts. I have been pondering about bringing it back if I am honest as when I had to let it go, it was because the hosting became so extortionate that I couldn't afford it and I had to let it go at that time due to lack of funds. It was one of my most successful forums and I still miss it a lot to this day.

Do you still have a funds issue ? If not, what's holding you back? Maybe my offer is something to consider a new start up. Do you still have the old database you could import ? Or is everything lost and do you have to start over fresh?

There was a HELLA fun X-men rp site I was on about 5-6 years ago. (1) They actually gave political intrigue to the site. It wasn't a standard carbon copy, dime-a-dozen of "ANTI VS PRO MUTANT REGISTRATION" or "WAR ON MUTANTS" where in the X-men RP craze days, you throw a stone, you hit 10. (2) The staff actually tried to incorporate as many user groups/factions as possible to make it possible for potentially everyone to have a meaningful contribution and (3) they weren't afraid to go dark with what happened to characters.

Some people are too greedy to the core and I guess that's exactly what happened with Brandon.

You know what, I have had a bad experience people answering Brandon that I would never trust them not to betray me first. It's why I find it very difficult to do any business with them.
