Forum vs Blog

With a forum, all participants are generating posts and interactions always amongst themselves. But for blog, the owner generates the posts and articles himself.

The main difference between a blog and a forum is that a blog is a frequently updated web page or website where the content appears in reverse chronological order, while a forum is an online discussion site where users share ideas, thoughts, or help by posting text messages.

The biggest difference between blogs and forums is that blocks only allow authors to write articles, but all users can read articles and share ideas. This is the only big difference between the two and you can decide which one to start with.

In simple term, the difference between blog and forum have been stated above. Forum is platform in which users play an active role in its functioning. What I means by active roles is that user are the one that create contents in form of post and reply. While for blog, users only play passive role which is reading the contents generated by author.

A forum can be thought of as a collection of blogs that typically have user generated content and many sections, as opposed to a blog, which is typically a one page site that is managed by individuals.

As a forum and a blog owner, my experience tells me getting content and traffic on a forum is easier than on blog. However, the most difficult aspect of the forum is getting members who post regularly.
