Yes in a blog,articles can be written by the admin or persons empowered by the admin to do such while in forum, any member can contribute in generating contents. It's easier to manage blogs than forums.

A blog, you have total control over and can easily be watched for comments, views, etc. And the more views and comments, the better. But a forum, you would really need to keep an eye on it almost 24/7 because there’s so much more traffic and different users visiting the site and posting who knows what - that’s where mods come in. I could never run an entire forum on my own, esp PTP.
A forum is a huge, active website. A blog is more like a long, ongoing article online for others to read if they choose.

In blogging , news and content are written by the admin while the visitors can only come and read the news while in forum sites , the content and the topics are mostly written and created by members .

It is true that on forum there is interaction and discussion between members. But blog is not what you said. A blog is a website that has full article on a topic and not only the admin can post in a blog but can also invite other users.

I like your simple definition of forum and blog. It has simple has a blog having articles writing by author while a forum having thread writing by just user. They are two different websites with different feautures.

Yeah, that is a very good feature to add in a forum. When a forum has a blog section in it, it truly brings more traffic to the site due to the Search Engine optimization.
