Boardhost is a free forum and message board host that's been around since 1998. Message boards are generally similar to Reddit, where each post has a threaded view which IMO is a bit cluttered and difficult to navigate. The forum software Boardhost offers is FluxBB, though it's an older version of the software. Have you ever used boardhost to host a community before? The registration process is odd, you have to add your phone number in order to create a forum but you get the option of either getting a phone call to confirm ownership of your board or get a code texted to you. But since it uses FluxBB, the forums load really fast. They do offer premium service which removes their branding, removes ads, and allows you to have private boards.
