Thankfully this has never happened to me. I think most "lifts" where I live have emergency call boxes, as well as manual door open buttons. I would try those.
I have always had a fear of getting stuck in a lift but have never got into that situation which I am very thankful for.
I hate being in enclosed spaces for a long period and tolerate it when I am in a lift for a short amount of time. Being stuck in a lift I would imagine would be hell for me.
