Drawing graphics?

Rather than using a computer service, has anyone actually considered or drawn graphics for their digital presence? So, the idea would be drawing the design, and then taking a photo and resizing it appropriately on the computer. This option would work well for those who are skilled in art, but not digital design.

I have done this, but usually I make computer modifications to the image I have drawn after uploading. Usually I draw things in black and white and add color via the computer. This strategy seems to be successful.

This is not something I have done but I have hired graphic designers in the past who have done this. My avatar that you see here on Forum Explorers was created in that way, this was made uniquely for me and is my branding for my video game content creation
