Do you guys wear a work uniform? Or one given to you by your work? Did you have to buy the uniform? I never had to wear a uniform at any job I worked, but I did have to dress proper by wearing a dress shirt and dress pants, and regular shoes with no logos or names on them when I worked at the call center. What about you?

I have never worked in a place that required me to wear a specific kind of uniform. However, I have been in a place where they had a a particular dress code and the company was quite horrible to begin with! Having said that I do not think that there should be a problem with wearing a uniform at work.

It is not actually all jobs that require for workers to have uniform, so everything is dependent on the nature of the job someone is doing that will require for them to wear uniforms or not.

I am working in a place where I am not required to wear any uniform right now, so I am free to wear any kind of dress that I desire to wear at work.

I have never worn a uniform at work and I have never worked in any organization where I was required to wear a uniform. In fact, there were no rules for clothing, you could wear anything you want, and there was an unwritten rule that you should avoid provocative clothes and fashion accessories.

Those working in some manufacturing departments in my workplace wear the uniform that is allowed in doing the work. This is because putting on the uniform helps to protect your regular clothes from tear when you are involved in moving the materials used in production.

It is all about the nature of the job that you're doing and the company in particular where you are working because there are some that are very relaxed when it comes to clothes that are used to work while there are some that have strict rules when it comes to uniform that you expected to wear whenever you are at work. Some companies even go to the extent of sending their workers home when they don't wear their uniform to work.

Many jobs may not require uniform. However, they may have a specific dress code and I think that this is kind of similar to having a uniform, but in a different sense. If a person is not free to wear whatever he wants, then this means that he or she is bound to a specific dress, even if it may not look like a uniform per say.

Right now I do not wear any uniform to be honest, but in most jobs I have had, I have worn a regulatory uniform, especially when I have worked in hospitality or as security guard, it is very common in those types of work to have to wear a uniform,.

And to be honest I didn't mind wearing them either, especially if I liked the uniform in question or suited me, and to the question if I have had to buy the uniform myself, I have never had to do it, it has always been given to me by the employer.

It is wrong for the employer to let the worker get the uniform that they will be wearing at the workplace. As far as I am concerned, it is very important for the business owner to have a couple of uniforms for different departments such as the security department as this section will always need people having an identity.

There are many employees who would hate wearing a uniform because they are responsible for their own uniform. In case if the uniform gets torn, then they would have to pay for that. Having said that, they may also need to purchase a new one in many cases.

Personally for me, as long as the uniform which I am supposed to wear at work is very comfortable for me to wear without making it itchy for me all the time, I will not have any problem with it. This is because I'm definitely going to take off that uniform whenever I'm going home. It's not like I'm going to wear the uniform in my own house too but only at work.

Yes, the truth is that it seems a bit stingy on the part of the employer, I have never had to buy the uniform, but if they told me that I had to pay for it myself, honestly my first opinion of the employer would be pretty bad, It also doesn't cost a lot of money to have a few uniforms always available in case a new worker arrives.

Whenever a company makes the rules of having their employees to wear uniform to work, it is always better for the company to make all the necessary provisions of those uniform that their workers should put on at work in order to make sure that everything is the same thing. Some employees will go and design a uniform that is not going to be in line with what others are wearing if you let them.
