Over the years Call of Duty has had many changes with each game that has been released. Some have been welcomed whilst others have been criticized and have not been welcomed.

At the moment I feel we are in an up-and-down stage with Call of Duty at the moment where people want something to change but no matter how much they state that the developers seem to be doing something different.

Do you think Call of Duty will ever be able to pull back and be as popular as it once was or is the mess they are in now going to stick?

I think it's a tough ask to try and get back to that great a height.

What they had was pretty much perfect, a balance between simplicity to play, but hard to perfect/master.

I feel like now it's going down the customization path, which sounds really cool and unique, but actually, 90% of the customization is useless cause it's not actually in the meta. It's hard enough to get a few different guns balanced to make say sniping and run and gunning equally matched to some degree.

I am glad I was able to experience Call of Duty at its peak when I personally was in my 'prime' of gaming, now I simply don't have the time to play something like that to be good enough.
