Google is still going to be seen as the biggest search engine when it comes to ranking. This is why most website owners focus on ranking on Google more than any other search engines. From my observations, it's clear that when you have successfully ranked on Google, the same result is going affect your website on other search engines.

Do you have any reasons to target any specific search engine when doing your SEO?

Google.

Google is the largest search engine online. YouTube is the second largest and it's also owned by Google.

Whatever you do to rank on Google, its competition will also favor you because they want you on their engine as well.

In all honesty, creating high-quality and valuable content is the one ranking factor that will always make sure you win at your search engine optimization strategy. Sure, other tactics are helpful but creating the best content will never get removed from the algorithm. It will always be the main factor, too.

Create the best content possible and get your search intent right.

Whenever I work on SEO, my target is always Google.

Google is as has been said the biggest search engine on the internet and one of the places you for sure want to get your site listed on.

Couldn't agree more with this! Content is king!

I don't target any particular search engines but I use Google Keywords tools, which means I am targeting keywords that are popular on Google searches. If you are able to rank higher on Google, it is also likely that you will rank higher on Bing, Yahoo, etc. That's because most search engines have more or less the same criteria for SERP position.

If you manage to make it on Google, there's no way you wouldn't be successful when it comes to ranking on other search engines. It's why when it comes to targeting any particular search engine, go for the biggest for maximum impact.
