Do you see nairialand competing with twitter

The two can't be compared in any way because they are of different functions and purposes. Twitter is basically a social media platform while nairaland is a forum. Though I so much love nairaland because it gives me informations on businesses that is profitable.

Looking for alternatives to Twitter? Tons of people want Social Networks Software. What's difficult is finding out whether or not the software you choose is right for you. Facebook, Pinterest, Snapchat, and SlideShare are the most popular alternatives and competitors to Twitter.

This will take time before it comes to fruition, nairalanders are not so influencial like Twitter users.

Nairaland is a Nigerian forum stie and it has been in existence for a long time, tall the content in the sitesare very educative, information and they are current, I see them competing with Twitter cos they are African largest forum site.

This is question is actually directed towards the Nigerians on this platform do you see nairaland competing with twitter in the future naira land is a platform just like twitter but it doesn't really have nice interface like twitter but with the proposal to regulate social media do you think this platform can become Nigeria own twitter
Well in trying to be a loyal Nigerian i would respond by saying anything is possible.
But in reality i dont see it happening.
Nairaland has a National/continental appeal as against twitter which has a global appeal.

Then nairaland is a forum and not a micro blogging site like twitter.
They are not operating the same model, so there is no basis for comparison or competition.

Nairaland is great, Twitter is great, they are both great differently, so I don't see any coronation with Nairaland and Twitter. Nairaland is a forum which Twitter is a social media, so, I don't see any reason to compare them. Both are good.

Nairaland is a Nigerian forum formed in 2005 by Seun Osewa. Nairaland and Twitter are in different categories and shouldn't be compared.
Nairaland is forum, so if you want to compare it, compare it to the likes of Reddit and other forums. Twitter on the other hand, is a social media network. If you want to compare it, compare it with the likes of Facebook and other social media networks.

the Netherlands is a good photo on the phone I think is the number one in the whole of Africa but comparing Nella and Twitter and thank you it is a very big mistake nairaland is doing fine but weather is where ahead of it moreover the owner of nairaland did not do it in such a way that it will be a full where they fall and what white issues will be discussed until 7 sit up and it will turn it into something that will suit Twitter and Facebook it becomes not to be an online forum.

Nairaland is just a forum nothing more but a very good one at that, it is a very informative and interesting forum, but Twitter is way beyond its league, it is like comparing fela to Michael Jackson.

It can't complete with twitter. The world is a global village and I believe in the power of network. Building network of professionals around me to be rich enough will mean that I should think and connect globally and not locally.
The control of Government (Nigerian Govt) can directly affects Nairaland while that can't happen of twitter.
The twitter account of a whole president of United State was suspended in twitter I doubt if that can happen on Nairaland in future

I admit that I like Nairaland and would often go on the site to read interesting news and stay updated. But even with the over 2+ million registered users I don't think it can compete with Twitter. Nairaland still needs a lot of upgrades, stories need to be updated on time not after they are 3 days old and the site need more moderators.

Nairaland and Twitter are not in a similar classification all things considered. While nairaland fills in as a discussion where individuals can rub minds together, Twitter is an online media where you can meet individuals and associate with individuals on moving issues

According to my own point of view, I don't think nairaland can ever competite with Twitter. Well I know nairaland is a very big website but Twitter is far bigger than nairaland, and Twitter is more popular that nairaland many people in the world have Twitter but nairaland is just coming up

They two are not age mate in any way. Leaving the fact twitte is a global social media platform, the number of traffic generated on twitter by nigerians in a day is way more than what is generated on nairaland for a whole week.

Who ever is comparing Nairaland to Twitter missed it long time ago. Nairaland is not yet worthy to be coampared with Twitter as at today. And I don't see it getting to that level soon. Though it is a good platform. But shouldn't be compared

Though I see no basis for this comparison cause both platform serve their respective purposes, I still don’t think nairaland is capable of matching up with twitter in every aspect. Twitter is a global social media platform popularly known across the globe. Nairaland’s popularity reigns in Nigeria and very few are awarded of the forum outside Nigeria

No I don't think it's even right to compare nairaland and twitter. Twitter is a social media network that as a good global recognition and reach. Nairaland is just a forum for Nigerian to know whats going on our soil

Do you just say nairaland competing with Twitter? My brother that can not be possible in ten years to come. Twitter is a global social media, it's not only available in Nigeria or Africa, it's available for all part of the countries. Nairaland, only Nigerian are the one using it. So I don't see them competing with Twitter

Nairaland and Twitter are not in the same category as far as I am concerned. While nairaland serves as a forum where people can rub minds together,Twitter is a social media where you can meet people and interact with people on trending issues.

Nairaland is acceptable piece it is only a discussion for Nigerians, nairaland as of now has 3,000,000 individuals which is little contrasted with twitter's three billion clients. Twitter and nairaland are extraordinary and ought not be analyzed.
