Do you always make the effort to click on your profile to fill in every other details about yourself like your birthday, age, location, social media handle and so many more? I've noticed that most people don't care about adding up those information in their accounts.
Personally, I feel it makes one's account look real enough like something that's owned by a real human being.

Well, I do not bother to fill in all details on the forum. I only fill in the fields that are mandatory. However, I always make sure to add an avatar, post an intro, share my website address on the profile and also on the signature.

This is basically the same thing I know most people who are making use of forums usually do whenever they join a new community. This is because they tend to see it as something that is irrelevant for them to go about filling their entire details on a forum except for the ones that are mandatory just like you pointed it out.

While filling in mandatory fields is essential, taking the time to provide additional information can greatly enhance your profile on a forum. Adding an avatar not only personalizes your account but also helps others identify and recognize you. Posting an introduction allows you to make a connection with other members and share a bit about yourself.

I find it very odd when someone joins a forum but never makes an attempt to post on the introduction section which is one of the first thing you should do by introducing yourself. This is so that everyone will get to know who joined the community and know the kind of things that you are interested in getting into.

Not really. I rarely fill out my bio/profile/signature. I'm kind of private and don't like to promote myself too much in the forums I'm a part of. I prefer to just post topics and replies and let that talk for me.

I would even say that you are doing enough by updating your bio, profile and also your signature in your account in a forum because most people that I know don't even care about updating any one of them as long as it doesn't stop them from using the particular platform.
