Do I need capital to start a forum?

Definitely, you will be needing capital to start a forum. this is because you may need to pay people who would be posting on your forums and you may also need to pay moderators. However, if your Forum gets popular enough, then you will also be earning good income from your forum, too.

I understand that I need at least a laptop or computer and the Internet to install a forum. I have not heard of someone who started a forum with their smartphone.

I think investing in forums can make you money after a short time but I need to hear this from those who earn from operating forums.

My main question is, do I need capital to start a forum, especially if I want to start a forum that pays writers while at the same time hiring a moderator. How does a forum start making you money and how long does it take?
Yes, this is no how you will start a forum without a website. Even the laptop, data are all bought with money.

So yeah, you need sum good amount of money to own a forum.

If the forum that you will want to start it I get paid to forum then you will definitely need some money to start with because you are not going to be getting sponsorship straight away.

Capital is needed for every business venture even forums because you might want to buy a website or seek a professional help to build one, pay for domain and that's all money

Surely you will need the capital to start the forum, firstly it will be installed by the programmer unless you have an idea of programming

You need to buy a domain and hosting and you need money for that purpose. You also need contents. You will have to invite members and you need to pay these people to create content for your problem

Definitely capital will be needed, you will Hav to design website which will be done through web designer and get them paid, you have to paid for your network provider and so on

Well, i think capital is overstressed reason being that one does not need a whole chunk of cash to run a forum, the thing one just needs to know what he or she's plan is and strategy because the thing is no matter the amount of capital used more will still be required.

Definitely you need capital to start a form. Forums usually pay a good amount, if you grow it with hard word. You have to buy a domain and make a website. There you have to arrange forums then you can increase traffic on your forum by posting links at social media accounts.

it also depends on what forum you want to do. if you want to form a simple community, with a few users at the beginning, you don't need that much money. domain / host / possibly host for servers (if you do it like gaming).

if you make a forum like bizdustry, yes, you need capital at first. :) until you start earning something too.

A lot of people have such big challenge when it comes to starting a new forum because it's going to require a lot to build it up from it from the scratch. Nothing good starts easy.

You definitely will need a good sum of capital to run a forum. Because owning and running a forum is as running a regular business that you know. It is an investment
Even if you area good programmer , you will certainly need some amount of money to start a forum, because you need to Build your website and pay your members in order to start increasing your revenue.

Yes, you need capital to start a forum. It's an investment that you're have to capitalise on. Most forum owners site crash due to poor funding.

When you need to host your new business website, you will definitely need to pay for it. When you need to advertise your business online, you will pay as well.

Sure I think the capital would be towards setting your website up and getting things in order, advertising and all that as well. So you will need money to start, how much? I cant really say.

Well as long as forum is concern if it is a sociwl media rorum you won't need money but if it is a forum like this you will need alot of money to set up the forum

You already outlined those things that would make up your expenses. Even more so, the forum being a paid to post one. How you cut your expenses may determine the size of capital you'd need but you definitely need capital.

I think you need a capital to start a forum; money to purchase a laptop and other resources that would enhance the business.
Get an expert to create a good website with nice, user friendly interface for the business.

There is no way you are going to be able to run a forum without actually investing a decent amount of capital into it because you have to create a website, host it and also drive traffic to their website.

If you want to start a paid to post forum, you need a lot of money, if you do not have any intention to start paid to post forum, you don't need much
