The words 'Saving' and 'Investments' are sometimes used interchangeably by most folks.
The two words have some similarities but that doesn't make them the same.

"There's a popular saying that Savings are investments, but not all investments are savings"

Saving actually means keeping some amount of money aside to meet long or short-term needs which may not yield any profit and it attracts zero risk.

On the other Hand, investment means putting money into a business or venture to yield profits within a specific period with risks depending on the targeted roi.
In simple words, the main the difference is that savings won't make more money, but investment can make more money. Savings is just idle money and investment is money that makes more money.

Saving: Setting aside cash for future buys in an effectively available area (for example an investment account, currency market account, under your sleeping cushion) with insignificant danger of misfortune and low or no assumptions for pick up.

Investing: Committing cash to support an endeavor either straightforwardly (for example setting up a lemonade stand, purchasing an investment property), or by implication (putting resources into a common asset that holds load of traded on an open market organizations) with the assumption for getting more cash. There aren't ensures in investing, and with the desire for a return there's consistently a danger of misfortune.

Savings nowadays attract interest. Savings to me is keeping money with the aim of utilising it at the end of a period of time. It can give you a little interest over that period of time.
Investment is putting money into another venture or stuff with the sole aim of generating more money.

I will pick savings because I have a lot of business to run into this year, I can't go into any investment right now because of risk and as tempting as investing may sound, it is somehow risky cos you might lose your asset because of a break down or something.

I think there is no a big difference between them except that we cannot make profits from savings while investing and we can make profits as well. Therefore, the best option is to make profits by investing and saving as well... What is your opinion sir....?

Different between savings and investments, there is alot different, also is better to invest than to save. Saving does not give gain or profit while investment give gain.
Sometimes it is better you had save your money rather than investing because your will be lost if your investment couldn't progress. However, it is advisable to always save some portion of your money when budgetting what to do with your money.

Saving is the amount that is not spent from your income. It is usually kept in bank, which may have a slight increase depending on its interest rate. While investing is acquiring market securities like bonds, stocks, and even cryto currencies. Saving is safe but it won't earn you profit. And investing is risky. It could make you a positive or negative return.

I think you have given a good difference between the two here. Both of them are generally saving but investment involves ventures that will yield some profit whether long term or short term.

Savings and investment are two different things. On savings, it's a process where by you put your money into a bank account and it appreciate on monthly basis with maybe 1% of the capital but bank charges and maintenance fee can still make you lose the monthly interest rate. For Investment, it's a process of putting your money in a way that can double your money.

Investments trump savings. I see savings as the necessary route to take before investments. The funds you save up overtime gives you the opportunity to venture into one investment or the other. Investments yield returns while savings gains almost negligible interests.

There is risk on investment but there is no risk associated with saving. When you invest, you might make a lot of money or lose your entire investment. However, when you save you will not lose a single penny instead earn some guaranteed profits. Inveatment is for risk takers and saving is for those who want financial security.

The risk associated with savings is only very minimal compare to investment because if you save In a bank, the bank could also be faced with challenges though In a very rare cases and if your savings is not in the bank , theft is a potential risk factor.

Savings is putting money away for some needs, it can be soon or for future usage. It attracts very little no extra ROI on it and it has zero risks. Investment is finding something you can put in your money which will yield interest for you, but it contains some risks.

Investment is something else while savings is another but you can still save from your investment yields. Savings are kept in the case of emergency and should be kept handy while investment are money invested with risk hoping to get more profit from it.

What is the difference between saving and investing? Saving you are putting money away to keep and use later. Investing you are putting money in, hoping that it will increase. Define liquidity, interest, compound interest, opportunity cost, and trade-off.

Both of them are not the same thing. Saving is the starting point, before you start to invest. People save money for different purposes. Most people save to consume, that is they save and later use the saving to buy things. This is not good enough. The best thing is to saving and invest the saving wisely in order to make more money.

I think they are almost the same but the difference is that you might save to buy a certain item or equipment but when you are investing then you are planning on putting your money on something to expect a return and additional profit in return, so that is how it works and now many do save to invest and some save to spend either way

There are differences between saving and investment. Saving can be described as one keeping his money in a safe place for future use. While investment is described as when one buys something for purpose of making profit, it could be landed properties, assets or shares
