Difference between domain and hosting

Your website is like a house or portal containing information or data. Your domain is like the only access road that house. It can also serve as a branding to your website. Both go hand in hand.

Think of this analogy. You have a name and home address. So your name is like domain name. And your home address is like hosting. So anything you want to do at home is stored at home. And your postman and the delivery man are pointed to the home address. Same goes for the domain and the hosting account there.
