Domain and hosting are two different things which are important to create a website. Many people confuse regarding these two . Can you tell what is different between domain an hosting in simple words?

The difference between domain and hosting is that they are two different services. hosting allow users to create and store content, like a website, on Internet servers and domain help visitors access your web content.

Think of this analogy. You have a name and home address. So your name is like domain name. And your home address is like hosting. So anything you want to do at home is stored at home. And your postman and the delivery man are pointed to the home address. Same goes for the domain and the hosting account there.

Domain name is something which you need for your business site. It is a location through which web clients can get to your site. IP delivers are difficult to recollect that is the reason domain namess are created to recognize clients on the web effectively without utilizing IP addresses.

Though Hosting is put on web where you can have your site by paying some add up to the facilitating suppliers like GoDaddy, Redserverhost, BigRock, HostGator and so on

Domain hosting and web hosting, though closely related, are two different services, web hosts allows user to creat and store content, like a website, on internet servers. Domain hosts provide domain name, allow visitors to access your web content

Yes it's true domain and hosting are different when it comes developing a website. If you want to start developing your website the first thing you do is to choose your domain name, this Is a name your blog will be named at, and hosting services is where content will be stored on your website

Domain to me is the foundation of a building, it is a location of a building and the house is like a hosting, you can describe domain as the land while you can say a hosting is like a house building on it , that means the land is the main place you are located and and the house is where people will sit down to meet you and interact with you that's exactly what happened between the two , domains is the place where people will search and get you hosting is information you have,

I think this is the best answer so far. The analogy works perfectly to define the two terms in a simple way to understand.
The domain is the name while the web hosting is the home address.

A domain points to your website.

A host is wherever your website is found. This includes all the files, code, databases,

Domain and hosting are two different services. The hosting server connect your blog, business website, company website etc. To go on live for easy access on the web. Hosting networks add features to the website that it host, optimization of your website speed, easy search on search engines and many more etc. The domain is the thread mark name for your blog, that enables visitors to access your site features by typing keywords.

In a simple terms, a domain name is like an address of your house while hosting is the space within your house where put in different kinds of stuffs like chairs, table, bed and other things you use in your house.

You can a domain name at a registrar and hosting on another company. You also buy both domain name and hosting account at the same place.

web hosting is an account on the computer that can be used to store and serve websites files via the internet, it helps in keeping the dates safe and makes serving them easy too. Domain is a using a readable word that directs people to a particular websites.

I am also searching the difference between domain and hosting. I thought that both are same but after reading people comments,I came to know that these are different.

I think is only a novice that can confused the both, they are clear terms
Web hosting is the place where all the files of your website live. ... When someone enters your domain name in a browser, the domain name is translated into the IP address of your web hosting company's computer. This computer contains your website's files, and it sends those files back to the users' browsers.

They are two things that are entirely different from each other. Web hosting is an account on a web server that hosts your website files while Domain name is the address of your website that people type in the browser’s URL bar to visit your website.

Web Hosting is an account on a computer that can store and serve website files via the Internet. Domain Registration is leasing a human-readable word for example amazon.com that directs people to specific website files via a browser. As an analogy, a domain is an “address” on the Internet.

Domain name is just a name. Hosting is everything you want to see under your domain name: design, layout; files, etc. everything is hosted on your hosting.
Try to think about a car. Domain name is your logo and your car look. Hosting is your engine and everything that makes your car drive. Get it?

I usually think of it this way.

The domain name is the name of your house that you give it to stand out.

The hosting is the house itself, being managed by someone, but it's where you do everything that goes on your site.
