Dark Vs Light Themes

Typically, do you like to see forums, sites and blogs with dark or light themes? For me, it kind of depends on the niche of the site. Typically, for most sites, I like to see dark themes with the option of a light version of the same design to accommodate users who prefer one over the other. I like to design darker themes as they are fun to design.

Well, personally I prefer light themes. They are easy on the eyes and not to mention that they give off, the professional look. Still, it depends on the niche. For a gaming forum, a dark theme suits better than a light theme.
That being said, most of the popular sites use light themes which is treated like a standard, these days.

I like light themes a lot better than dark themes. Depending on how it is designed, however, I will tend to favor a dark theme more. All in all, I think webmasters should have both a light and dark theme option for members.

Personally i think that the dark theme is much better because from what I have seen and used in the past I think that it is much easier in order to be ablee to seee the screen.

I am a big fan of colors. I believe using a pleasant color theme on our website makes it more attractive. The users feel much safer and they interact openly in light color websites compared to the dark themes. Colors such as greenish-yellow, light blue, and white would be a good option to design an attractive website

That can be the case for most people however there are also some that do not like color when it comes to these sites and therefore i think that color is best to let them decide on their own theme.

I personally prefer light themes over dark themes since it doesn't hurt my eye although dark themes help as well when lights were turned off. But, since people have different preferences, it would be great if sites will have an option to change themes from time to time.

I think that it might e a good idea if we are ale to set the different themes to activate at different times in the day depending on when we are active on the site as well.

I am a fan of light theme, I use light theme on my websites and I like websites that have light theme. If the default theme is dark and if I have an option to choose to light option, I will always do that.
