Choosing between Going Live and Posting Pre Recorded Video?

The two ways which you can make use of video contents for yourself advertisement and promotion is either through going live on the social media platform which you're using or pre recording the video, editing it and finally publishing it.

Which one between the two of them is more effective in bringing the desired results for your brand?

I've only made videos and promoted my websites that way. I've never actually advertised any of my projects in a live stream before. I've only live streamed once though.
