One of the challenges poultry farmers face is the unavailability of ready market. This is one of the challenges faced by farmers in general. When there’s no ready market for their produce, the cost of production keeps increasing and that’s affects the projected profits.

Weather condition at a particular period of time is also one of the challenges faced by poultry farmer because there are certain weather that are suitable for poultry birds they have some weather that their body system finds it difficult to adapt to.

Most of the big poultry farms here have strict security measures like CCTV almost everywhere and security guards. The main problem is the disease so they have a foot bath in the entrance and they fumigate the entire farm once a week. When it comes to the weather that is one factor that cannot be controlled so the cages and coops are extra strong to prevent strong winds from ruining it. There are also drapes to cover the cages to protect the chickens from the strong rain.

Having a poultry farm is a really great way of making money offline. You get money whenever you sell eggs laid by layer birds and you also make money from selling broilers which are consumed as meat.
Despite the prospects in this business, there are challenges that owners of poultry farms face which could be devasting.
Some include:
1 sickness: when you are not knowledge about how to identify signs and symptoms, you could lose all your birds in one day.
2 Theft: when the area is insecured, you can also lose some birds to thieves.
3 Unfavorable weather condition, especially when you didn't find out before bringing them.

What other challenges do you know how of?
That is to show that anything that has advantages have disadvantages too. Poultry farming business is highly productive and profitable when you fulfil the necessary condition of keeping them on a conducive environment. Irrespective of that thieves can still manoeuvre and still some of chicken. Sickness too can come and some point, if not discovered on time can destroy the chicken.

I think the problem could be that those eggs or animals do die real quickly in this would really Make the owner of the poultry loose a lot of cash from the business abd most resident in rural area usually face delivery problem , due to bad roads

Like you have said, there are evwnts, concerts, meetings and carnivals hosted almost on a daily basis and so the increase demand for meat and other poultry products. You don't need a lot to start as a few dollars can get you a good place but things like eggs demand a very cold weather for them to be produced in large size. For broilers, they are very prone to diseases so you should consider vaccination and avoid keeping all of them in same place.

You have said most challenges that facing poultry farm. But the major thing them is knowledge, because if you do not have enough knowledge about poultry farming that will be a great challenges. While you have knowledge it's will easy for you to run it, prevent and able to face any other challenges.

One of the major problems poultry farmers face is financial problems. This is very important and I think it affects about 60% of farmers globally. In one area or the other, capital contributes to the success of your farm.

Considering the rampant nature of poultry business especially in African countries , one of the major challenge poultry farmers , especially those that rear bird is market . Some don't easily get enough market due to competition from other poultry owners
You are right about this, but there are exceptions to this assertion. In festive seasons like Christmas, the market usually boom and so many farmers start theirs at around August so that they would get patronage in December.

There are many challenges faced by poultry farmers. Amongst the many are:
Dying of birds.
Cracking of layed eggs by birds.
Complete breakage of eggs
Increase in the price of bird's feeds.
Unknown sickness affecting birds leading to there death.

Cleanliness is also a great factor that needs to be put into consideration. When the poultry house is left to be soiled with water, it would make the environment favorable for different diseases to break out, thus leading to losses.

Poultry farming requires a huge capital. You need to have a spacious place for them because overcrowding makes them die.

They eat a lot and require a lot of medication to keep healthy. They are challenges like disease outbreaks too.
And then they need constant attention too.
Personally, I won't go for poultry farming, too much problems though they are really profitable when they grow well.

The major challenge that face the poultry farmers is the cost of maintenance, most farmers might not have enough capital and facilities or equipment to take a good care of the birds

You're there, uncleaned and unkept environment can lead to the break out of diseases that can pose serious health challenges to the chickens. That is why, it is encouraging to keep a clean and tidy environment, to keep such kind of diseases from penetrating and causing sickness that leads to untimely death of the chickens.

Another challenge is harmful predators. Snakes, dogs etc can lose a huge threat to poultry farm. As long as you do it the right way, poultry farming is a lucrative business

This is a big challenge aside the sanitation, adverse effects and lack of proper information. Many poultry farmers jump into the business without proper market sure survey every environment has a carrying capacity, the moment it exceed there will be excessive supply which will fall the price.

Yes, it the best way to make smooth money offline. And like you have likely Said, it has it own problems attached to it. The business gets frustrating when sickness invades your Poultry, this single act can make you spend all your money and run into debt trying to treat your chickens. And the worse is, when one is infected if not quickly noticed can spread Among the other chickens. To avoid sickness I do prefer one rear local chicken, there are more disease resistant than any other breed of chickens. You can give that a try.

The biggest turn off for me with pooltry farming, despite how lucrative it is, is how much consistent attention it needs, all day, for months.

Except you get someone to help you, you risk your birds dying from one reason or another if you're not available.

One of the problems faced by poultry farmers is cannibalization. This is when the birds feeds on each other due to lack feeding them on time.

The birds, especially the layers tends truck the anus of one another when you don't feed them on time.

The reason is because their fease contains their feeds as their body systems tends to get rid of the excess.

This is another great point. The most successful poultry farmer I know of is always taking care of his birds. This makes it difficult for him to have some spare time for himself. Those who have money resort to hiring people who would take care of the poultry farm
