Betting is not an investment. It's a game of luck, you either win in it or lose in it. Betting can only serve as a business if an individual own the betting company. People bet a lot because they want to make faster wealth.

I don't see betting as a business because it is not guided by any rule of business. It is exposed to either abnormal profit making or loss. Also I can call it investment per say but it can still be regarded as an investment because one is aware of the risk attached to it before gambling.

To be fair to your question, betting can make you win or lose your money, and a business can make you win or lose your money. The games and company basically all follow the same course. But the odds of making a profit in gambling are smaller than those of a company. They're definitely not the same species, meaning betting isn't a company.

Sports betting is never an investment but an uncertain risk. A true investment must be something that can be evaluated but values in gambling can not be evaluated.

@Nurudeen betting can be tagged an investment or business depending on the role the individual plays. If you're setting up a bet company or shop it's a business. It can be an investment if you buy shares of a bet company.
